On
November 29th, the representative of University
of Ottawa, Ms. Yang, came to our school.
First
of all, Mr. Yang introduced the history of Ottawa. The University of Ottawa is
the oldest Bilingual University (English and French). When it was first
established, it named Bytown College.
After the history, Mr. Yang talked about the system in University of Ottawa which has 9 faculties, Management, social science, education, engineering, nursing, law, medical, Arts and Science. Also, it has more than 200 degrees including 120 undergraduates’ majors.
Then, Mr. Yang, give a short introduction about the campus. The main campus is in the downtown Ottawa, only several blocks to Parliament Hill, also closed to shopping center, restaurants, and cinema.
