Western University, formerly known as the University of Western Ontario, is a world-famous university located in London, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the top public medical doctoral universities in Canada. It has more than 130 years of academic accumulation and deep human resource background, and is known as "the most beautiful university in Canada".
Western University has a leading position around the world in the fields of surface wind tunnel, alternative energy, miniaturized industrial engines, food nutrition and so on. According to the Globe and Mail, (with over 22,000 registered full-time students) it is ranked first in terms of teaching quality and student satisfaction. Its Richard Ivey School of Business is best known, along with Harvard University, as one of the two great sources of case law education in North America. The Schulich School of Medicine enjoys a high international reputation and influence, and has made remarkable achievements in the field of miniaturization and low cost surgery.

Western University covers a total area of 4.67 million square meters, with a central campus of 1.58 million square meters. There are 75 main buildings on the campus, combining classical and modern architectural styles. it has three undergraduate schools, 12 departments, two teaching hospitals and three affiliated research institutes.
As one of the few remaining undergraduate collegiate universities in North America (similar to the University College of the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford), Western University currently has three undergraduate colleges, each of which has a different history and characteristics and enjoys a greater degree of independence in finance and management. The three colleges are located on the Western campus and use the same syllabus and standards to grant the same Western diplomas.
