Recently, the 2021 election campaign of Student Union kicked off on campus. A total of 22 outstanding student representatives came to the podium to show their elegant demeanor and delivered campaign speeches. Following all proper procedures   students in the Program voted for 10 members of the Student Union. More wonderful details are announced now!

Part 1

Student Union is a important student organization. It focuses on, self-management and self-service. The main  purpose is to serve students wholeheartedly, it fully represents and highlights the comprehensive will and expectations of the student group. It forms a close link and communication bridge between the school administration and students.

The Student Union campaign process was displayed in the form of a live campaign speech, and the final members were elected by a live vote in the presence of representative teachers from the Sino-Canada Program.

"All previous presidents of Student Union were leaders and students in good standing with of our program. Inside and outside the classroom, they are "resourceful, mature, capable and dedicated to the growth of our program. They are active in the student community, and respected for their leadership by students and their teachers.

Ms. Raymond, our Canadian Principal, hosted the election campaign of the Student Union, which was broadcast live online. "No matter the final result of the vote, we have witnessed twenty-two students of courage who were willing to come forward, write a speech in English and speak in their second language to convince students of their dedication and ability to lead their school council. It is a proud day for the Program. Let us recognize their great performance with applause first!"

Part 2

In the warm applause, the candidates came to the podium one after another and presented themselves in English, which highlighted the advantages and charm of our students.

The talented students of the Sino-Canada Program also incorporated personality elements into their speeches: some talked about campus relations from the perspective of social influence, taking the past campus activities as an example, citing the leading role of Student Union events and activities.They created clear individual images of the Program they envision for the future.

Ms. Tan Jiawen, who is in charge of the organization of this activity, said: "the annual Student Union election is one of the activities I am most looking forward to, because the most outstanding, warm-hearted and dedicated students of our program are on the stage!"

Chinese Vice Principal Ms. Hu Lei said: "Today's candidates are very outstanding, no matter what the final result is, I am proud of them!"

After the campaign speech, the foreign teachers checked the final voting results. During the interval when the working group counted the votes, some students were still discussing the campaign speeches. The students were immersed in the excitement and content of each speech and lingering over the many things that had been presented.

After the votes were counted, Ms. Raymond summarized this years campaign. "Thank you to each every candidate who spoke today with poise, maturity and great confidence. You are each fine representatives of out Program. I believe that in the future, you will show yourself on a bigger stage, today is just the start.”

Mr. Blackmore read out the results of the vote, and finally all the students took a photo with the principal to record a memorable campaign experience.

I believe that all students will continue to exercise and show themselves in the Student Union, contribute their strength to the development of school life as they commitment  to their formal studies.
