The University of Queensland, referred to as UQ, is one of the world's top 50 universities and higher research institution. Founded in 1909, it is the first comprehensive university in Queensland and one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Australia. It is also one of six Sandstone universities, a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, Group of Eight, Universitas 21 and the International Alliance of New Engineering Education.

 

The University of Queensland is ranked 46th in the 2021QS World University Rankings, 36th in the 2021U.S. News World University Rankings, 62nd in the 2021 World University Rankings, 31st in the 2020 CWTS World University Rankings and 12th in the 2020 MoocLab World University Rankings.

The Business School is the first AACSB accredited in Australia, is  EQUIS accredited, and was awarded a full score of 5 stars by the GMAA. In 2016, the Business School was ranked among the top 10 in the world and first in the Asia Pacific region by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

 

Located on the coast of eastern Australia, the University of Queensland is internationally acclaimed for its strong teaching and research capabilities. Its academic qualifications are recognized all over the world, and graduates of UQ are in great demand. The school is a friendly and diversified community with 38139 students, including 6382 international students from 120 countries and 5250 teaching staff. It offers more than 200 different courses covering a wide range of fields including Business, Dentistry, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.

 

The University of Queensland has various learning facilities to support students such laboratories, computer network facilities, and a library which is the largest with the best collection in Queensland. Each campus has branches to provide convenient conditions for students' learning. It is home to two Nobel Prize winners and 117 Rhodes Scholars. The two Nobel laureates were Peter C. Doherty in 1996 and Barry James Marshall in 2005.
