Outstanding Graduate Report

Tang Tian is an excellent student who is "active and enterprising" and his classmates say that he is a good friend who is "interesting and talented", he is Tang Tian from 12B. During the past months Tang Tian has received offers from the University of Toronto, the University of Alberta and the University of York. All great offers, but the University of Toronto is his dream university. The university ranks 25th in the 2021 QS World University rankings.

How did he get so many offers from world famous universities? To answer that question here is our interview with Tang Tian:

"When I received the first offer, I was so excited that I didn't sleep well all night. The offer of the University of Toronto I got means that my three years of effort have paid off." When it comes to how many offers he received, Tang Tian continues to be excited about all these excellent possibilities.

The teachers in the Sino-Canada Program all know that Tang Tian's dream university is the University of Toronto. It is one of only two top 62 North American research universities in the United States Association of Colleges and Universities outside the United States. It is also second only to Harvard University in the number of scientific papers published each year, and ranks among the top five in the world. The number of paper citations ranks among the top five in the world, and its book collection is second only to Harvard and Yale.

"I like the University of Toronto best because it is in the downtown but still retains its ancient simplicity," Tang said, "And you can enjoy the prosperity of the city and the elegance of the university."

When it comes to learning, Tang Tian says modestly that he is not an outstanding student, "One of my learning strategies is to take notes carefully in class and review and consolidate my knowledge in time after class. "

His head teacher also said that Tang Tian's learning attitude was particularly positive. Under the influence of the atmosphere of serious study and mutual encouragement, he would not be stingy to share his own learning experience when seeking advice from his teachers and classmates.

Tang Tian also took an active part in academic competitions and social practice activities. In the MicroBiz Competition, he won the Outstanding Team Award together with his group members.

"In my spare time, I like playing the piano and occasionally playing badminton . I usually read books when I have time, classics or modern literature. After all, they all have their own characteristics. But my favorite is science fiction." Rich extracurricular life has become the motivation and boost of learning. Tang Tian thinks that during his three years in the Sino-Canada Program, "every day is wonderful!"

Tang Tian says there are many kinds of classes in our program, and each course is impressive.

"For example, Mr. Matt, who is approachable, has a lively atmosphere in class and rich forms of homework after class. In his class, it is not like a teacher teaching students, but more like understanding knowledge in the conversation of friends. He also leads a music club. If you are interested in joining, you will have a very rich,  interesting experience. "

The small class teaching mode, individualized development and individualized teaching concept of the Sino-Canada Program have enabled 100% of its students to enter the world's top 100 universities for more than ten years, and hundreds of them have entered the world's top 100 universities.

Tang Tian said, "I chose the Sino-Canada Program because I prefer Canadian universities to other countries. The Canadian system has more advantages, strength and the staff of the Program who assist with the application experience when applying for Canadian universities, compared to other international programs, give great support."

"During my three years at this program, I have become more mature. I am not as rash as before. I think twice before doing something and take the consequences if I make a mistake. At the same time, I have learned a lot that cannot be learned in traditional high schools in China, such as the essentials of economics, financial knowledge, or how to get along with foreigners in daily life."
