On December 23, the Annual Christmas party and New Year's celebration of the Sino-Canada Program were successfully held. The colorful talent show, lucky lottery draw, delicious food and drink, novel dress up and the opportunity to be together brought 2020 to an end.

The party was full of warmth. Canadian teachers and students performed on the same stage, the atmosphere was filled with laughter; the money raised during the party was donated to Tang Mama Charity Center in Suzhou Industrial Park, praying for a better future for children and families throughout China.

Students from the Sino-Canada Program spontaneously started the classroom decoration activities, decorating corners of the classroom with Christmas trees, candy canes, gingerbread men and other displays full of the festival spirit of Canadian Traditions. These hand created decorations set a holiday atmosphere and brought joy and surprise to all, especially the Canadian teachers. A special and heartwarming gift from the students to their Canadian teachers

Tony, a Canadian teacher said, "When we walk into the class, we can feel the deep love from the students. They make us feel the warmth of our hometown when we are far away in a foreign country. "

Vice Principal Kathir said, "What could be more inspiring than a group of young people with creative and handmade works? This love between China and Canada will surely become a wonderful memory for all the teachers and students in the school. "

At the end of the party, there was a lottery draw. Students bought "lottery tickets" to create a winning jackpot to be shared with the Program’s charity. All monies from the lottery tickets were donated to Tang Mama Charity Center in Suzhou Industrial Park to help families in mountainous areas of China receive clean drinking water, school supplies and to sponsor other projects.

The process, design and method of the lottery draw was carried out under the guidance of Mr. Matt. Sun Yuecheng, who was one of the hosts for the event, designed and launched a special program, which greatly improved the interaction. How wonderful to have one of our students design the app, students to purchase tickets all in the spirit of celebration, happiness and hope.
